Hi everyone!

Trying to keep my blog alive by posting despite the fact that I have homework for every subject except PW =X

Just came back from 09S7C gathering! Potluck dinner at Nicolea's house + games. Some of us were like supper addicted to guitar hero coz the songs were all so catchy =.= Quoted from Daryl "luckily I don't have this at home if not i no need study liao". If i had a game console at home i'll surely get bored of it after the novelty wears off =/ But playing it once in a blue moon is still entertaining nevertheless.

Anyway, Apollo won the fac dance competition yesterday. I think it was a well deserved victory as the dance was well-chroeographed and there was alot of enthusiasm from the ppl who danced, not to say that we weren't doing our best la. But nvm victory is not important imo, as long as we enjoyed the process of learning and mastering the dance =D Thanks pinghui for being such a nice and pro dance partner (though you most probably wont read this coz you claim to "have a life")

Anyway, after the fac dance and the Sodache (SOng DAnce CHEer for ppl who don't know) session we had a part D "gathering" at SOC/pull up bars where we took photos on the low wall and indulged in a night of reminiscence by doing drills(in jeans), pumping on the tar road and doing hentakaki cheer. Though it was abit attention seeking (luckily for us it was very late so no one could make out our faces) but I enjoyed every moment of it. Though we might be in different CTs, OGs or CCAs, we are still a part forever! Sounds cliche, no? Ya so eventually we went to KAP and had a long talk which we haven't had for ages, and I reached home just before 1am =X My mum was still awake waiting for me to come home coz she's worried about me. Haha she's the best mum ever!

Ahh I shall end this post here and get started on some of my homework =X

Stuff to do before school starts:
-Bio tutorial
-Chem tutorial
-Math tutorial
-Econs tutorial
-GP tutorial

And so we go again!

Sorry for the unannounced hiatus...have been totally busy this past week getting used to college life. Its only the first week and the workload is already quite significant, not to mention how it can only get worse after CCAs and stuff comes in.

These are some of the teachers I got for my CT

Civics Tutor + Bio teacher -> Miss Choong. I find her quite good actually, knows when to be serious and has a good sense of humour too. During the IMAX movie at science centre for bio olympaid students she shared with me about some her travel experiences while waiting for the movie. Coincidentally, I love to travel too! She said maybe can go for one of the OCIP trips later year with her as one of the accompanying teachers.

Chem teacher -> Mrs Phee. Ex student of hwachong also, not as funny as miss choong but knows her stuff well. I find her a good teacher as I can understand what she's teaching well and doesn't really find it boring, compared to my chem teacher last year which was totally "zzzzz...".

Maths teacher -> Mr Ken Yeow. Muscular man who also happens to be our Discipline Master. Has a great resemblance to the character below:

Ya so before every lecture or tutorial he will bellow loudly in a manly and deep voice "CAN YOU SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING" before he actually commences. (if you really believe that you are a tard). Even though he is the DM he's actually a nie guy inside the classroom. Cracks jokes at times and explains stuff well.
Econs Teacher -> Miss Choong (not that miss choong above). Ya so she has the same surname and marriage status as my CT. 19 yrs old this year, from 07 batch athena fac comm and council. Came back to teach as a relief teacher while waiting for uni. Our real econs teacher is away on sabbatical so duno how she's like yet.
GP -> Ms Kiran. Ok la GP is honestly damn boring but shes done a not bad job at trying to make it interesting. Its abit like english except its a content based subject..so yup have to mug for it. Shes also relief as the real teacher is away.
PW -> Ms/Mrs/Mdm/i duno which Eileen Tan. Skinny and looks experienced, just like any of the older teachers in school. Frankly, her lessons are quite boring but nvm la cant expect to have all tutors to be very punk and hip and funny etc. So overall not bad le.
Right now im joining tahan and harmonica, coz i love the outdoors and trekking and i want to learn how to play a musical instrument. Fac comm maybe i'll give it a try but see how well i can cope 1st...bio lectures are just like freaking bullet trains...cant seem to catch up. Must try to read the notes b4hand.
Hopefully I'll post more frequently in the future but I'm not too certain as JC life is really very hectic. Maybe i'll like post 2 times a week at most in future.
Homework left:
-Bio tutorial
-Chem tutorial
-Econs tutorial
-Study for math test(though yeow calls it an assignment)
Shit i just realised all subjects have homework...gg to me =(

Time flies when you are having fun, and it certainly seemed only a few moments ago when OG 39 was just a bunch of strangers sitting in the hall, minding their own business. However, in a short span of just 5 days, through the mass dances, songs, cheers and games, and by going through thick and thin (not to mention dry and wet too) together, we managed to become a bunch of great friends, and i do hope that it will remain so for a long long time to come.

Check my CT allocation from the ISP through some cheat method. Resources>messgaes>send message>add(students)>type in your name. Kudos to the brilliant guy who discovered this method, haha. My class is 09S7C and my index number is 14. 1st time ever that my number is so big, normally max is 10. My class happens to have 16 girls/9boys too(unsure if thats a good thing or not). Yuan hao is the only person that I know currently (happens to be in my OG group too). Civics tutor: CHOONG TSUI WEI (Miss). Never seen her before and duno whats shes like.

So many questions, hopefully i'll get some answers tomorrow.

Gotta wake up early tmr, so i'll end this post here. Sweet dreams!

2nd day of orientation is over...

We started the day with a talk by our principal, Mr Ang Wee Hiong, followed by a series of talks such as science research programmes, discipline and the school's history. There were boring honestly but I still tried to listen in order not to miss out any important info. Had lunch as high school section and went back to the hall to start our orientation programmes.

We first learnt 3 mass dances which had relatively simple steps but looked impressive if done by the whole cohort at the same time. After that, we went for our orientation group games. It was quite a success, as i got to know the people in my orientation group better and we were more bonded at the end of the day. We also came up with our own group cheer, which was kinda simple, short and sweet. At the end of the day, each of us got our orientation package, which contained a shoe bag, a folder with some funky 'rev-it-up' writing on it, a student handbook, an orientation shirt, and a few magazines. No complaints, since we didn't have to pay for it.

Tomorrow's highlight would most likely be the CCA exhibitions. Hopefully I could confirm the cca that i want to join then.

Time to sleep, im dead beat.

Havent been blogging for awhile...shall not blog about CNYmuch coz it was pretty much the same thing for all these years.

Maybe anything remotely special this year would be that I won $18 and lost $20 from mahjong with my maternal side and paternal side respectively, and that my mum's friend brought her pet maltese to our home and we played with it all day. Other then that it was the same stuff like collecting angpows and eating steamboat after steamboats and other expensive food that is seldom eaten during the rest of the year(not that im complaining about it).

JC officially kicks off tmr with orientation. Good luck for whatever lies ahead =D
