Totally dog-tired after training today...can't even feel my legs properly now. According to the seniors we did around 19km, excluding the 10 rounds we went at bishan park. I have a somewhat love-hate feeling towards saturday trainings. I like it because I know that it will stretch me physically and mentally (and build up stronger muscles along the way), but the thought of lugging almost 20kg (or sometimes more) and trekking constantly from 8 to the late afternoon/evening really intidimates me. Before training today weilong was telling me he felt like we were back in our cadet years when we used to fear and dread ncc trainings coz of all the tekans, mental torture and stuff, and I find it quite true. Its just 7 more weeks before we graduate and climb tahan though, so put in our best!
One thing I like about long treks is that sometimes I can just relax and contemplate certain issues about studies/my future/ my family etc, or even just simply let my mind drift away and not think about anything except for the nice view around me, which I would not normally have the time for during normal school days when there are so many things to worry about. Ya so during treks when you find me keeping quiet im most probably doing on of the above-mentioned stuff, or trying to keep from regurgitating my lunch, hah.
Ophir trip is on 30th Apr, looking forward to summitting it with my teammates =) Oh not to forget napfa 5 items is next friday! If i dont get 30 im seriously going to be dam depressed, especially with all the tahan trainings/running/swimming i've done lately.
Sorry if my post is very disorganised. My brain can't really concentrate now, esp after all the stuff earlier on. Starting on ILP,bio tutorial and class presentation tmr!
Ta.
P.S. Get well soon zitao. Today so garang, flu still continue with training. Take care and be careful =D
